Satna: A tragic event occurred in Satna town, Madhya Pradesh, during the midnight hours of Tuesday night. A three-storey building collapsed while undergoing renovation work. This incident occurred in the Bihari Chowk area. This has resulted in a situation where there are individuals believed to be trapped under the debris.
To address this calamity, a swift and well-coordinated rescue operation was launched to rescue those trapped beneath the wreckage. Siddharth Kushwaha, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Satna, arrived at the scene and provided information about the situation. He stated, “Based on the information we have received the building collapsed suddenly during renovation work. The extent of entrapment is still uncertain. Our dedicated rescue teams are tirelessly working to ensure everyones safety.”
Later in the day, Abhishek Gehlot, Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation in Satna, confirmed that two laborers trapped amidst the rubble had been successfully rescued. Gehlot mentioned, “We received reports of two laborers being stuck under debris and our rescue operations were promptly carried out to secure their retrieval.”
As investigations into this incident continue, authorities have not yet disclosed details regarding the cause of the building collapse. Worries remain about the stability of buildings, in the vicinity leading to increased alertness, from both authorities and residents.
