Gwalior: Police has taken major action in the case of Aam Aadmi Party’s protest in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. An FIR has been registered against the state general secretary of the party and 20 workers for demonstrating without permission during the Model Code of Conduct. AAP workers had protested last Friday against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.
Actually, ED has arrested AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Regarding his arrest, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers had held a big demonstration outside the BJP office located at Hemu Kalani Chowk of Maharaj Bade on Friday, March 22. Hundreds of AAP workers present had demonstrated without permission.
During this time, an attempt was also made to burn the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which was foiled by the police. FST in-charge Dushyant Kaushal lodged a complaint at Janakganj police station against this demonstration without permission. On the basis of the complaint, Janakganj police station has registered a case against AAP State General Secretary Advocate Rohit Gupta and 20 other workers.
Janakganj police station TI Vipendra Singh says that based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered in the case. Videography of the demonstration was also done on the spot. In such a situation, if the identity of other people and their participation in the protest is confirmed through video, a case will be registered against them also.
