Bhopal: The Nursing Council has canceled the recognition of all the sessions and courses of all the 66 nursing colleges found unsuitable. An FIR has been filed against 23 people in the MP Nursing Scam case. Out of which 13 people have been arrested. CBI officials are also among those arrested. One of them has been dismissed.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken a big action in the nursing college fraud case. Rapid action has been taken against ineligible nursing colleges. As per the order, 66 nursing colleges will be closed in 31 districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Action has been taken in many districts including Indore yesterday. The Commissioner, Medical Education has given the list of unsuitable nursing colleges to the collectors. In the CBI report submitted to the High Court, 66 colleges have been found unsuitable. Unsuitable colleges were being run only on paper.
However, the government has relaxed the action keeping in mind the future of the students. The old students of nursing colleges will not be affected by this order. Students will be able to appear in the examination. According to the information, the Commissioner, Medical Education has given the list to the collectors and has asked them to take action as per the order of the High Court.
