Bhopal: Severe cold continues in Madhya Pradesh. On Friday, January 19, the minimum temperature was recorded less than 10 degrees Celsius in about 17 cities of the state. Drizzle rain also occurred in the capital Bhopal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.4 degrees. In the morning, due to dense fog in Khajuraho and Tikamgarh, visibility was 50 meters.
The state is beginning to shiver due to the cold winds coming from the north. In this sequence, the lowest temperature of three degrees Celsius was recorded in Datia and Naugaon on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday. It rained heavily in many areas of Bhopal in the morning. Cold wave is prevailing in Khajuraho, Sagar and Datia. According to the Meteorological Department, similar weather is expected to continue for the next 48 hours.
Severe cold has taken hold in Gwalior, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Satna, Guna. A temperature of 2.5 degrees was recorded in Bijawar of Chhatarpur. The temperature in Datia and Nagaon was 3 degrees Celsius. Along with this, 3.4 degree mercury in Guna and 9.4-degree mercury in Bhopal. Here the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.4 in Guna, 3.7 in Sagar and four degrees Celsius in Khajuraho. There was an impact of cold wave in all these five cities. The minimum temperature of Jabalpur also reached 8 degrees Celsius. It has become difficult for residents here to leave their homes due to the cold wave. Due to cold, people are taking help of bonfire. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature continues to fall due to the north wind. There is a possibility of severe cold till January 21.
