Morena: Drug trafficking is not showing any signs of stopping in Madhya Pradesh. On which the police is continuously taking action. In this regard, the police has achieved great success in Morena district. Police have seized 43 kg of ganja from a car and arrested two smugglers. At present, the police have registered a case against the accused and are engaged in investigation.
Actually, Bamor police station of the district had received information from an informer that ganja was being smuggled in a car. Acting on the basis of information, the police blocked DL-4-CN-4100 on Gwalior Morena Road, in which two youths were traveling. On checking the car, there was no connection of the engine with the CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) tank installed in the trunk. When the CNG cat was examined, the tank was cut into two parts. Which was found filled with ganja.
After this, the police arrested both the girls and action was taken to seize the drugs and the car. According to the police, the value of the seized ganja 42 kg 750 grams is estimated to be around Rs 4 lakh. At present, the police have registered a case against the arrested accused under 8/20 NDPS Act and are inquiring from where the drug was brought and to whom it was to be supplied.
