Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the public welfare schemes, development activities and law and order situation in Agar-Malwa district through Video Conference on Saturday morning. During the review, the Chief Minister said that the pace of work of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) is slow. He asked the officers to send in details of the same. Unde the scheme, 10,245 houses were sanctioned and only 6042 were completed. He asked them to monitor the work plan properly and increase the pace of work. However, the Chief Minister also appreciated the works of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in the district. Under the scheme, 18,008 houses were sanctioned, in which 94 percent work has been completed. The Chief Minister congratulated the officers for this. Minister in-charge Yashodhara Raje along with administrative officers of the district were also present in the review meeting which started at 11 am. District officials told the Chief Minister during the review that more than 50 thousand connections were given under the Jal Jeevan Mission as well. On this, he asked the officials whether the quality of work and restoration work is being done or not. He said that there was a complaint about the quality of the pipeline in Susner Nagar, and that it should be removed.Regarding distribution of ration, the Chief Minister said that arrangements for distribution should be made properly. He urged them to keep an eye on ration not being stolen. “There have been four cases of seizure of rice, what action has been taken”, he asked and instructed the Collector to review this system. Regarding the law and order situation in Agar Malwa district, Chief Minister Chouhan said that action should be taken against big criminals, illegal liquor and drugs. There should be zero tolerance in this, he said. 95 percent girls have been enrolled in the Muskaan Abhiyan. The Chief Minister said that good governance means that the benefits of the schemes should reach the public without taking anything from them. The Chief Minister also said that there is no need to panic about COVID-19, but he asked them to be careful. “See arrangements for an oxygen plant, oxygen cylinder, ventilator, medicines etc. in the hospital. Induce booster dose. Increase awareness for COVID friendly behaviour”, he concluded.
