Bhopal: PCC Chief Kamal Nath has strongly condemned the attack on Congress candidate Jyoti Patel in Rahli assembly constituency of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. Also, while tweeting on X, he has fiercely targeted BJP. Besides, questions have also been raised on the police administration.
“Jyoti Patel, the Congress candidate from Rahli assembly of Sagar district, was attacked yesterday. Their vehicles were pelted with stones and vandalized. The attackers are seen openly waving the pistol in their hands. Jyoti has released the video saying that if she is murdered then BJP candidate Gopal Bhargava will be responsible for it. A female candidate is being openly attacked like this, but the police has not yet taken any action for her safety and to arrest the attackers. Police and administration are sitting silently. It appears that the Bharatiya Janata Party and some officials working under its patronage are selectively targeting Congress workers. This is a very dangerous situation”.
