Bhopal- To encourage people to vote, the district administration of Harda, in Madhya Pradesh, took a step by organizing a torch rally as part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign. Rohit Kumar Sisonia, the CEO of the District Panchayat, officially started the “voter chariot” from the municipality premises, marking the beginning of this initiative.

The administration has launched programs to educate and mobilize voters in the district. Torch rallies have been specifically targeted towards areas with voter turnout in previous elections. The aim is to rekindle engagement and raise awareness about the significance of voting.

On October 24, an important gathering is planned at Dussehra Maidan, where voters will collectively pledge to fulfill their responsibilities.

In an approach to promote voter awareness, the CEO of District Panchayat, along with Kamlesh Patidar, Municipal CMO, and other dedicated employees, led an awareness rally throughout the city. Surprisingly, this rally included garbage vehicles from all 35 wards. These vehicles, which are typically used for waste collection purposes, have been cleverly repurposed to serve a role. They do not contribute to maintaining cleanliness in the city by collecting garbage. Also, actively participate in voter awareness initiatives.

The district administration’s dedication to encouraging engagement and ensuring that all eligible voters are informed and motivated to vote during elections is evident through this approach.
