Bhopal: Candidates for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 can withdraw their nomination by 3 PM today. With this, the number of candidates in fray of elections will be clear by 3 PM. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will be on an election tour today and will hold a public meeting in Deori, Sagar at 11 AM, followed by a roadshow and public meeting in Tikamgarh at 12.25 PM.

CM Chouhan shall address a public meeting at Mohangarh in Prithvipur assemble of Tikamgarh at 1.35 PM and a public meeting at Naugaon in Maharajpur assembly of Chhatarpur district at 2.50 PM.

Later during the day, CM Chouhan will address a public meeting at Devendra Nagar of Gunnaur assembly of Panna district at 4 PM and at Raigaon assembly of Satna district at 5 PM. The chief minister will also participate in local programs during a road show in Satna at 6.30 PM.

“There should be a smile on the faces of the people, all the problems of the people should be removed, this is the aim of our politics and also the pledge. Today, in Ghansaud of Seoni district, participated in the public meeting organized in support of BJP candidate of Lakhnadon Assembly Shri Vijay Kumar Uike ji and sought blessings of victory from the public”, wrote CM Chouhan on his official Twitter account.

Besides CM Chouhan, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav will be on a one-day visit to Madhya Pradesh tomorrow to address the election meeting in Chhatarpur. He will also address a public meeting in support of candidates in Chandla assembly of the district.

The Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 are scheduled to be held on November 17, 2023 to elect all 230 members of the state’s Legislative Assembly. The tenure of the current Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on January 6, 2024.

The main political parties contesting the elections are the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC). The BJP is the incumbent party, having won the 2018 Assembly Elections with a majority of 109 seats. The INC is the main opposition party in the state.

Other political parties contesting the elections include the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the Samajwadi Party (SP), and the Gondwana Ganatantra Party (GGP).
