Bhopal: Today is the third day of the budget session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly. Today the second supplementary budget of 2023–24 will be discussed. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora had tabled the supplementary budget yesterday. The supplementary budget is total Rs 30 thousand 265 crores. Two hours have been set for discussion in the House today. Even today the session is likely to remain turbulent. The issue of Harda firecracker factory will again resonate in the House. The opposition is demanding a judicial inquiry into the Harda case.
The supplementary budget was presented on Thursday, the second day of the budget session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly. Before discussing Governor Mangubhai Patel’s address in the House, the supplementary budget and CAG report were tabled. A total provision of Rs 30,265.15 crore has been made for the second supplementary budget 2023-24. There is a provision of Rs 10,173.06 crore under head and Rs 20,092.09 crore under capital head. Today 2 hours are scheduled for discussion on the supplementary budget.
After the presentation of the interim budget (MP Interim Budget 2024) on 12 February, voting will be held on the demands for its income and expenditure on 14 February. After which it will be passed in the House. The first 1 hour of every day of the session except tomorrow has been earmarked for question and answer.
The interim budget session (MP Interim Budget 2024) will run for 13 days from February 7 to February 19. There will be 4 days holiday in this. There will be holidays on 10 February Saturday, 11 February Sunday, 17 February Saturday and 18 February Sunday.
