In Morena, Madhya Pradesh, due to the possibility of adulteration in food items like milk, curd, cheese, ghee, the team of Food Safety Department seized 2200 liters of ghee and 19 dalias of mawa worth Rs 11.43 lakh from two dairies. The team has sent 15 samples to Bhopal for investigation. Which is from two milk dairy and mawa sellers. Whose registrations were also cancelled.
In fact, Collector Ankit Asthana had expressed dissatisfaction over the sampling action in the review of the Food Safety Department the previous day. On Friday, the Food Department team reached Keshavdutt Sharma’s Vishnu Dairy located in Ambah, where the work of making Mawa is done. During interrogation, the team came to know that Mawa is being prepared from here and sent to Morena side by auto. So, 717 kg mawa worth Rs 90 thousand 243 in 2 autos was seized in 19 Ilia and kept in police station Dimani.
Similarly, two samples of ghee and milk cream were collected from Siddha Baba Dairy Palia Colony and sent for testing. Food Safety Department teams inspected Parvati Dairy located on Jaura Road. During this period, 15 samples each of milk, ghee, cheese and milk powder were taken from here. 2200 liters of ghee worth Rs 10 lakh 53 thousand was seized. At the same time, the team of Food Safety Department has canceled the registration licenses of Nadhya Dairy, Lal Singh Tomar Mawa seller and Prahlad Dairy.
