BHOPAL: Four persons in two separate cases related to the Madhya Pradesh Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam) have been announced RI of four years with a fine of Rs 13,000 each. Special Judge of CBI, Gwalior on Monday convicted the accused.
“The Special Judge, CBI, Vyapam Cases, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) has convicted Sh. Dushyant Singh Bhadoria (Candidate) & Sh. Jagpal Singh (Solver/Impersonator) and sentenced them to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 13,100/- each in a case related to Pre Medical Test (PMT) 2010 conducted by Vyapam,” the probe agency said in a statement.
Accused Dushyant Singh Bhadoria had sought admission to a medical college by arranging an impersonator Jagpal Singh, who took the test in his place. In the second case of the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2013, the court convicted two accused, Laxman Singh (candidate) and Dharmendra Kumar (impersonator).
A thorough investigation by the CBI proved that the OMR answer sheet, the cover page of the question booklet, and RASA sheet did not contain the handwriting of the candidate Dushyant Singh Bhadoria. The probe agency successfully traced the impersonator and unearthed the truth following which a chargesheet was filed.
In another case, the court convicted Laxman Singh (candidate) and Dharmendra Kumar (solver/impersonator) and sentenced them to four years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of ₹14,100 each in a case related to Police Constable Recruitment Test-2013, conducted by Vyapam.
