Jhabua, MP: Two minor girls fell into a well and drowned in a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district, police said on Saturday.

The incident reportedly took place at Parwalia village under Kakanwani police station limits on Friday.

As per the preliminary investigation, the minors aged 3 and five left their house to play outside. Tension sparked in the family after the girls did not return home for a long time. The parents then lodged a complaint -said Parwalia police post-in-charge Sapna Rawat.

The bodies of the girls were later found floating in a well and were fished out, the Sapna Rawat said.

The bodies were handed over to the family after post-mortem and further probe is underway she further added.
