On International Cheetah Day, two cheetahs will be released from the large enclosure of Kuno National Park into the open forest. This will enable tourists visiting Kuno to see the cheetahs. According to the information, two cheetahs named Agni and Vayu will be released. All the preparations for this have also been completed.

International Cheetah Day, observed annually on December 4th, is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of the world’s fastest land animal. The day commemorates the life of Khayam, a cheetah cub who played a pivotal role in cheetah conservation research.

Cheetahs, once widespread across Africa and Asia, now face numerous threats including habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and illegal wildlife trade. These solitary predators are uniquely adapted for speed, but their survival is increasingly compromised by human activities.

International Cheetah Day aims to inspire action and support for cheetah conservation efforts. By raising awareness, promoting education, and funding research, we can work towards a future where cheetahs thrive in the wild.
