Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Police arrested three men and a women for allegedly selling a 17-year-old girl for Rs. 50,000 to a person in Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district. The girl who hails from Ghugri Police station limits in Mandla district, met two of the accused Pahalwati Bai and Sunil Kushwaha whule working at a dairy in Jabalpur.
The two accused lured her under the pretext of getting her a better job in Mumbai. Later, the accused reached Patai village in Raisen where they allegedly sold the girl for Rs. 50,000 to a person named Vishnu Kushwaha to marry him.
The girl’s parents have filed a missing complaint with Mandla police and the police has arrested four accused involved in a case of human trafficking/ Deori’s polce station sub-inspector Shraddha Uikey said that the accussed belonged to patai village.
Another incident of teen girl rape was reported in Chitrakoot as a 16-year-old was allegedly raped by six persons on a boat in the pilgrimage town in Satna district. The police has arrested acquaintance of the victim and five boatmen for the attack that took place intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The arrested boatmen allegedly saw the other accused, a resident of Banda district in Uttar Pradesh. The case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual offences (POSCO).
