Bhopal: Preparations have begun to shift the students of 66 nursing colleges declared ineligible by the CBI to other colleges. Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla has asked the Commissioner of Medical Education and Director of Nursing to identify such colleges where these students can be shifted.
Currently, about 10 thousand students are studying in these colleges. They will be shifted to government and private colleges. Only those students who will pass the previous session’s exam will be shifted to other colleges. CBI had investigated 308 nursing colleges of the state on the order of the High Court. Out of these, 179 colleges were declared eligible as per the criteria, 66 ineligible and 73 colleges were declared eligible with some deficiencies.
150 to 200 students are studying in each of the colleges declared unsuitable. Now these students are worried about their future. After being declared ineligible, these colleges were sealed on the instructions of the CM.
