Gwalior: Professor of Kamala Raja Girls College in Gwalior has been accused of rape by a girl student. The victim says that the professor raped her by luring her to pass in the exam. The student had reached Kampu police station and lodged a complaint, after which the police arrested the accused professor.
The student told that the incident of rape took place between 9 April 2022 and 5 April 2023. The police has questioned the professor to find that the 47-year-old wife of the accused reached Sirol police station and accused the student’s father of demanding Rs 20 lakh and raping her in car at knifepoint.
The police has registered the FIR as per the statement given by the victim. “I am 23 years old and I reside at Kampu Dar Bazar Tiraha. I am a student of BSC final year in KRG College. In the year 2022, I had a bad exam and I used to be under a lot of stress. At the same time, I got acquainted with the professor of the college. The professor befriended me and told me that if you obey me, I will get passed. I will also make you a professor in the college. After that we became friends and the professor gave me his number. On 9 April 2022, the called me to his chamber in college”, said the student in her statement.
