Bhopal: The SS Chauhan cabinet on Tuesday held meeting under the chairmanship of the CM himself. The meeting saw discourse on compensation of damage due to floods, establishment of 7 private universities, formation of Yoga Commission, and Resolution plan for revenue recovery of mineral dept were amongst others. Apart from this a campaign is also to be launched on the ocassion of PM Modi’ birthday under which officials will identify individuals and categorize them beneficiaries under state and central schemes.
Officials have been instructed to conduct a survey of the damaged localities and crop damage and allocate compensation accordingly.
The cabinet also approved establishment of 7 private universities under the Private Universities Amendment Bill 2022. The universities that will be opened include apart Prestige University in Indore, Times University in capital Bhopal, Preeti Global University in Shivpuri, LNCT University in Indore, Amaltas University in Dewas district, Aryavart University in Sehore and Vikrant University in Ujjain.
The cabinet has also decided to constitute a Yoga Commission which would foster the practice of Yoga in youth and adults. The formation of the committee will be carried out by the Maharishi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan. A team of five non-government members will work on promoting Yoga for a period of five years. The team includes Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, Medical Education, Social Justice, Sports and Youth Welfare, Tribal Affairs, Special Section and Minority Welfare Department.
