Bhopal: The situation of floods in Madhya Pradesh is expected to get worsen as the Meteorological Department warns of sporadic showers in the districts of Ujjain Chambal divisions in the coming two days. The weather pattern is constantly changing in the state.
“Significant weather features dated 25.08.2022. Under the influence of the above systems: widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/ lightning very likely over Vidarbha on 28th; East Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh during 25th & 28th August 2022”, tweeted India Meteorological Department.
The rain continued in the capital Bhopal since late Wednesday night. “Aerial rescue & relief operations have been launched in the flood-affected areas of Rajasthan & MP. On 23 Aug 22.”, tweeted Indian Air Force.
The visit of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan continued till late at night, followed by a high-level meeting with collector representatives from Morena, Bhind, Sheopur.Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar also joined this meeting. CM Chouhan said that if water is released from Gandhi Sagar Dam, then 56 villages will be affected. Further, full arrangements are being made in the relief camps.
