RATLAM: Two coaches of the diesel-electric multiple unit (DEMU) train enroute Ratlam-Indore were gutted after a massive fire broke. Railway aauthorities were immediately informed and Emergency officials were mobilized to the spot.
Passengers were safely evacuated following the deployement of emergency teams, said an official.
The incident took place at Pritam Nagar station 6:30 am as the train departed to Indore.
Visuals of the boggies being charred to ashes made rounds on the internet. Passengers were also seen heading towards Rattagiri Giri situated 6 km away from Pritam Nagar railway station.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained while a probe has also been launched.
