Madhya Pradesh: Today is the second day of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh. The yatra started from Khandwa Borgaon Buzurg at 6:20 am today. Along with Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also walk in the yatra. At the same time, Priyanka’s son Rehaan and husband Robert are also involved in the journey. Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot also joined the yatra. They traveled about eight km in two hours and reached Kumthi at around 8 in the morning.
Rahul Gandhi stopped there at Gurukripa Family Restaurant and had breakfast. A reception stage was set up by the Congress workers of Harda at this site. Artists dressed in Mahatma Gandhi’s costumes appeared on the stage. From there the journey reached Rustampur where the villagers showered flowers on Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra.
Around 10 am, the yatra reached a break point between Kumthi and Dulhar. There the journey rested after the meal. Congress National Secretary JP Aggarwal interacted with the media at this place. At the same time, Rahul, Priyanka, and other senior leaders visited Tantya Mama’s memorial to offer flowers.
In the village of Rustampur, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra interacted with the laborers who stood on the roadside to see them while passing through the village. Before the start of Rahul Gandhi’s yatra in Borgaon, there was doubt among the senior Congress leaders about the point of the program.
There was an argument between Burhanpur MLA and the coordinator of this rally, Surendra Singh Shera, and Awadhesh Sisodia, the coordinator of the yatra in the Khandwa district. The resting place of Rahul Gandhi had also been changed earlier citing space issues at the college premises where he was about to stay.
