BHOPAL: President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the seventh International Dharma-Dhamma Conference in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal on Friday.
Int’l Dharma Dhamma is a three-day conference organized by India Foundation in collaboration with Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies. With the theme- ‘Eastern Humanism for the New Era’ aims to bring together religious, political, and thought leaders from Dharma-Dhamma traditions to ponder over building a philosophical framework for the emerging new world order.
President Murmu arrived in Bhoap at 11:50 am today morning. She was received by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the airport.
Around 45 speakers will participate in the inaugural session. The conference will also have a keynote session, a ministers’ note and, five plenary sessions to discuss various sub-themes, along with 115 paper presentations by experts from India and abroad in 15 sessions. Overall delegates from 15 countries are participating in the conference.
