Kotwali: On late Saturday night at 11:30 PM, the Kotwali police reached the Footera ward and searched the residence of 11 accused including the director of Ganga Jamuna School. The police came into action after an FIR was filed on Saturday in the case where Hindu children were forced to wear hijab and were taught Namaz in the school.

A case was registered aginast 11 members of the school committee under sections 295A, 506 IPC, and JJ Act. FIR has been lodged against President Mohammad Idreesh, Mustaq Bhai, Principal Afsara Sheikh, Co-principal Jyoti Birmani, Mohammad Riaz, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Shahid, Mohammad Danish, Shivdayal Dubey, among others.

Five of the accused were called to the police station for recording their statement in the matter, however, none of them turned up. The Kotwali police reached school to arrest the accused and took them for questioning.

The police could not find any accused during their search at night. Meanwhile a large number of police personnel remain deployed even today in Footera ward. CSP Bhavna Dangi also reached the spot. As TI Vijay Singh Rajput tried to interrogate the family members, but could not find any clue, the police also reached the house of Shailendra Jain, who hails from Jain community.
