Bhopal- Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Shahdol district in Madhya Pradesh, where he inaugurated the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Eradication Mission 2047 and distributed 1 crore Ayushman Bharat cards. The Prime Minister commenced the program by paying tribute to Rani Durgavati. During his address, PM Modi aimed at the opposition, accusing them of neglecting tribal communities for 70 years and highlighting Ayushman cards as his government’s assurance against false guarantees.

PM Modi emphasized the unbearable nature of sickle cell anaemia, describing the pain experienced by patients in their joints, swelling, exhaustion, and breathing difficulties. He expressed concern that previous governments had shown indifference toward addressing this disease and its impact on tribal communities. The Bharatiya Janata Party government is taking proactive measures to tackle this challenge, considering tribal society a matter of sensitivity.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the significance of Ayushman cards, provided to one crore people in Madhya Pradesh. These cards are insurance policies, granting beneficiaries access to up to five lakh rupees for hospital treatment. PM Modi assured that possessing the Ayushman card guarantees treatment without financial burden. He contrasted this scheme with the false guarantees offered by the opposition, warning against their hidden costs and deceptive practices.

PM Modi underscored the achievements of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, with five crore impoverished individuals having already received treatment under the program nationwide. He emphasized that these individuals would have faced financial hardships of over one lakh crore rupees without this scheme. The Prime Minister urged the public to be cautious of false promises, urging them to scrutinize the flaws behind such guarantees and reject deceptive schemes.
