MEKLHA RESORT, JABALPUR: Hang him or we will commit suicide, said the parents of Mekhla Resort murder case victim Shilpa Jharia. They demanded that the hanging of the accused Hemant must also be shared on social media just like he did of their daughter.
Hemant Bhadane was arrested from Rajasthan on Saturday after a cyber team and police officials launched a joint operation to search him as was absconding since he committed the murder. As per reports, the accused who identified himself as Abhijeet Patidar at the resort was Heman a resident of Maharashtra.
Earlier, the police had detained two accused from Bihar but no connection was found with the murder. However, they are on police radar. On November 8, the blood-smeared body of Shilpa Jharia was found from Mekhla Resort in Jabalpur district, and was allegedly killed by Bhandane.
Jabalpur Superintendent of Police Siddharth Bahuguna in a press briefing informed that he has been taken into two-day police remand. However, preliminary findings indicate that he killed the woman because he loved her and suspected her loyalty. On November 8, he took Shilpa to a resort where slit her throat and took away her mobile phone, ATM card, her gold chain, gold earrings, and fled. The police also came to know Hemant is a habitual vehicle lifter. As many as 37 cases are registered against him in the various police stations in Nashik.
