MADHYA PRADESH: At least two died and one was injured after a truck barged into a railway crossing. The police said on Thursday the accident took place in the Jhabua district while people waited near the railway crossing.

As per initial reports, the truck rammed into the people breaking the barricades of the Bamaniya railway crossing, located 65 km from the district headquarters. Injured have been taken to the hospital said sources.

An LoC has been issued for the absconding driver sources added. Police cite the recklessness of the driver as the reason for the accident. However, no evidence have been found yet.

Shortly after the emergency forces reached the spot, locals staged a protest on the rail track which connects Delhi and Mumbai, demanding that an over-bridge or an under-bridge be built there replacing the barricade crossing to prevent the recurrence of such incidents which have become frequent,
