Bhopal: Ladli Behna Yojana has played a vital role in BJP’s bumper victory in Madhya Pradesh. CM Shivraj’s sisters have supported him and brought BJP to power again. In this regard, today the officers who successfully reached the beneficiaries of Ladli Behna Yojana will be honored. Chief Minister Shivraj will distribute the citation at around 1 pm.

Along with all the reasons behind this victory, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Ladli Behna Yojana is being considered as a trump card. Which he had presented just before the elections. Today CM Shivraj will honor the officers who successfully made the scheme reach the beneficiaries.

On January 28, 2023,  the government of CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has launched ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’ with the objective of economic self-reliance of women, upbringing of children dependent on them and strengthening the position of women in the family. It was announced and it was launched on 15 March. 

Ladli Behna Yojana is a state government scheme in Madhya Pradesh that aims to promote the girl child and reduce the gender gap. The scheme was launched in 2013 and has since benefited over 2.5 million girls in the state.

The scheme provides a number of benefits to eligible girls, including a lump sum payment of Rs. 11000 at birth, monthly scholarship of Rs. 500 for girls aged 12-14 years, and free education for girls up to post-graduation level.

To be eligible for the scheme, the girl child must be born to a family with an annual income of ₹8 lakh or less. The family must also have a registered marriage certificate and a bank account.

The scheme has been credited with helping to improve the lives of girls in Madhya Pradesh. It has also helped to reduce the gender gap in the state.

More than 1 crore 30 lakh women are getting benefits under Ladli Behna Yojana. On the 10th of every month, Rs 1250 comes directly into the women’s account.
