Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh has secured the first position in the country in the National Good Governance Index. On the other hand, in terms of providing e-services to the citizens of the state, it is in the fourth position in the country. Central Secretary (Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances) V. Srinivas, who met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at his residence on Friday, has given this information.
He said that in view of the popularity of the CM Helpline, the idea is on to implement it in other states. For this purpose, the Central Government is keen to document the process of the CM Helpline. Srinivas said that the implementation of the Good Governance Index at the district level has also been discussed. He also proposed to hold a national conference on e-governance in Bhopal next year.
Agreeing with this, Shivraj Singh gave information about the “Chief Minister Public Service” campaign being run in the state. He said that healthy competition is the strength of democracy. These activities give more relief to the public from mutual competition in the districts. Chouhan also said that the state government, by reviewing the works of the districts every month, encourages and rewards the officers who take better and quick action. On this occasion, Joint Secretary NBS Rajput and other officers were also present.
