Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Good news for MP people; 105 new Rail Overbridges (ROBs) are to be built in 30 districts of the state. The Madhya Pradesh government has given approval for this. The responsibility for the construction of all these ROBs has been given to the PWD department. The approximate cost of the project has been set at Rs 3000 crores.
According to the information, 54 ROBs are to be built in West Central Railway, 32 Western Railway, six North Central Railway, 12 South East Central Railway, and one ROB in the Central Railway zone. In these, 76 ROBs have also been inspected by Railways, PWD, and other departments. DPR of 15 ROBs has been prepared.
Five out of 105 ROBs have reached the tender stage. Tenders for these will be issued soon. PWD officials said that in the budget for the year 2021-22, permission has been received from the government for 105 ROBs. These include 22 ROBs which were approved last year. But due to a lack of budget, their work could not be started. Now soon the PWD tender will be issued for all these railway bridges.

On the other hand, eight railway bridges are to be built in Jabalpur, seven in Ujjain, seven in Indore, seven in Narsinghpur, and six in Balaghat. At the same time, four railway bridges each are to be built in Bhopal, Ratlam, Mandsaur, and Satna.
