Dewas district: In an accident that took place at 10 pm on Tuesday, State Water Resource Minister-Tulsiram Silawat travelling to Bhopal with his family escaped injuries after a truck rammed into their vehicle, a police official said.

“The car of MP minister Tulsiram Silawat was hit on Tuesday night by a truck in Dewas district when he was travelling with his family to Bhopal. However, all the occupants of the minister’s car escaped unhurt in the accident,” Superintendent of Police (SP) Shivdayal Singh said interacting with the media updating information on the status of the Minister and his family. 

As per reports the accident took place on the Dewas Bypass where the Ministers’ car was hit by a truck on the left side with forces just as much as it could have damaged the door.  

Acting swiftly, the Police rushed to the spot and rescued the Ministers’ family from the car. The truck driver was immediately nabbed and the truck was confiscated. A  case is lodged under the appropriate Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections and further probe is underway, a police official said.
