Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: A two-year-old boy was stolen from near the booking window at the railway station at around 10 am on December 24. During the incident, the mother had gone to get milk by keeping her child lying on the bench during which he was kidnapped. After the incident, the woman complained to the GRP police station, but instead of registering an FIR, the TI chased her away, accusing the woman of being involved in the kidnapping of the child. The woman alleges that she was also slapped.
The next day, after the intervention of the member of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, the police checked the footage again and found out that the child had been stolen. After this, a case was registered. Bagpura resident Vaishnavi went to the railway station on the night of December 23, after a quarrel with her husband Shravan, to go to her mother’s place in Bhopal with her 2-year-old son Vansh. When she went to fetch milk and returned, the child was found missing.
On this, she panicked and reached the GRP station, TI RS Mahajan, instead of listening to her complaint, misbehaved with her and slapped her as well. On December 25, the woman again went to the Dewas Gate police station. Rajesh Borana, a member of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, was present there. Seeing the woman crying, he asked her the reason for crying, then the woman told that her child was stolen and the police is not registering the case.
After that Borana discussed with Dewasgate TI Ramamurthy Shakya, and he told that the spot belongs to GRP and GRP is not listening to her. After this, Borana took him to GRP TI RS Mahajan. There Mahajan said that they checked the footage on the complaint of the woman but no one was seen taking the child. On this, Borana asked to check the footage again. In this, at around 10 o’clock, a person is seen carrying the child in his lap. After this, the GRP registered a quick case.
