This declaration comes at a strategic time, just months before the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election scheduled for later this year. The official Twitter account of the ruling party shared five promises put forth by the Chief Minister.
One of the promises highlighted the affordable availability of gas cylinders within the state, with a proposed price of Rs 500. This move aims to alleviate the financial burden on households and ensure access to essential cooking fuel. Another commitment was to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 1500 to every woman in the state, intending to empower and support women economically.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister pledged to provide 100 units of electricity free of cost and reduce the charges by half for an additional 200 units. This initiative seeks to ease the burden of household electricity expenses and promote a better quality of life.
Additionally, to address the concerns of retired individuals, the Chief Minister expressed the intention to reinstate the Old Pension scheme if the Congress party secures victory in the upcoming elections.
With the Assembly Election approaching, these announcements hold significance, as they aim to garner support from the electorate by addressing their immediate concerns and aspirations.
