Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh’s most trusted brand ‘Sanchi’ has been handed over to NDDB for the next 5 years. This board will now makeover the Sanchi brand in a new way. But the opposition party has expressed displeasure over this decision of the government and has raised questions. At the same time, the Youth Congress is planning a strategy to protest in the coming time.
State President of Youth Congress, Mitendra Singh Yadav says that we are preparing to hold a big agitation for the farmers in MP. We will protest to save Sanchi. This agitation will be done in collaboration with dairy operators, employees, cattle farmers from across the state, because we have to save Sanchi, the identity of Madhya Pradesh. We will not let our identity be snatched away. We have no objection to any other company, no matter where they do business. But let Sanchi remain. Youth Congress also alleged that business is being given to people of Gujarat by taking donations from them.
Madhya Pradesh’s famous ‘Sanchi’ dairy brand will remain intact and no employee will lose his or her job, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Saturday. His comment came in the backdrop of the state government signing an agreement to hand over operations of Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation and its affiliated milk unions to National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for the next five years.
Employees of Indore Cooperative Milk Union said in a conversation, our effort will be to increase milk production and cooperative activities in the dairy sector in the state through the agreement with NDDB.
“The Sanchi brand will remain. The brand has its own importance. The people of Madhya Pradesh have a very strong bond with the brand,” he asserted. Madhya Pradesh, which accounts for 9 per cent of milk production in the country, was third after Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and the aim was to double it to 18 per cent through the agreement with NDDB, Yadav said.
