Bhopal: Around 8 engineers of the state water resources department were suspended with immediate effect in connection with the breach in the Karam dam earlier this month. Along with this Delhi based ANS construction and Gwalior-based construction were also blacklisted.
The suspended personnel were identified as chief engineer CS Ghatole, superintendent engineer P Joshi, executive engineer BL Ninama, assistant engineer Wakar Ahmed Siddiqui and sub engineers Ashok Kumar, Vijay Kumar Jathhap, Dashabanta Sisodia and RK Shrivastava.
A breach in the dam gates of the under construction Karam Dam was reported on August 11 during which atleast 12 villages in Dhar and 6 in Khargone , making to around 6000 people were relocated.
