Bhopal: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has big plans to beautify the cities of Madhya Pradesh. He talked to mayors, presidents, and councilors of urban bodies in the conference held on Monday in Bhopal. For about an hour, he also made several announcements from the stage. Political experts called it a master stroke before the assembly elections.
CM Chouhan said that Ropeways are to be built in 14 cities across the state. About 209 crore rupees will be spent in Ujjain alone. On average, 32 thousand devotees will be able to travel from the railway station to the Mahakal temple on a daily basis through the ropeway. The same plan will be applicable in other cities as well. In the next 5 years, all big and small cities will be free of garbage and potholes.
CM Shivraj has also taken a big decision to give the land seized from goons to the poor. The CM said that action has been taken against the mafia in Madhya Pradesh. Hooligans, grandmasters, bullies, and ruffians occupy large lands. Such people are being identified. About 21 thousand acres of land have been made free from them. Out of that, whatever is in the city, will be given to the poor to build houses there. An initiative like this has already been made in Bhopal. Houses will be built for the poor on 40 acres of land.
CM says that in the Swachh Bharat Mission, all the cities will be made garbage free. 4900 crore rupees will be spent on this in the next 5 years. In the Chief Minister’s urban infrastructure, works worth 5 thousand crores will be done in different phases. Work is going on in the Smart City Mission.
