Dindori, Madhya Pradesh: In MP, a PESA awareness conference was organized today at Rani Durgavati Stadium Shahpura under the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. On his arrival in Shahpura, the CM was welcomed through dance and folk songs. And when the Chief Minister stepped on the stage, Kanyapujan, lamp lighting, and wreaths were done by the program volunteers. After this welcome song and the Madhya Pradesh anthem were sung.

It was informed that folk dance and folk song depicting the theme of the PESA Act was organized. The Chief Minister released the postcard sent to the head of the villages and the letter sent by the Chief Minister. After this, the symbolic launch of the distribution of Jeevandayini Prasad for TB and sickle cell anemia was done. It was informed that the letter of thanks addressed to the Chief Minister by the public will be read out for the implementation of the PESA Act.

Along with in-charge minister Mohan Yadav, the program was also addressed by Union Minister of State Faggan Singh Kulaste. The Chief Minister addressed the program organized after this. The Chief Minister will be presented with a memento by the Didis of local self-help groups in the program. The Chief Minister was welcomed and worshiped by the Gram Sabha President Sarpanch and self-help groups on his arrival at Village Guraiya Janpad Panchayat Shahpura.

In other news, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is on the Bharat Jodo Yatra in the state which is on its third day today. Sister Priyanka Vadra also joined him in his yatra yesterday. Rahul aims at uniting the people of the nation through such friendly walks and taking part in meeting with them personally.
