BHOPAL: On the occasion of Women’s Day CM SS Chauhan announced an additional seven days of casual leave for women employees of the state government.
Taking to Twitter, Chauhan said- “Upliftment of mothers, sisters, and daughters is the main aim of my life. I believe that the development of the state and the country lies in the empowerment of women.”
The leaves, he added were aimed at providing women employees with extra time that they could use for their personal responsibilities.
Additionally, he also announced that lessons on financial literacy at higher secondary school and college levels, for girls after class X.
“Arrangements will be made for skill training for girls, which will include training in handloom, embroidery, and traditional folk arts. Women handloom and handicraft artisans of the state will be provided training in modern designs and advanced technology through institutes like NID (National Institute of Design) and NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology), the CM said.
60-80 hours of digital training and financial literacy lessons will be given to the girls under this program. Apart from this skills will be imparted in English Language, communication, and work readiness. Special training and job fairs will be organized for providing employment to girl students undergoing technical education courses.
The latest announcement comes at the heels of the Ladli Behen Yojana that was passed during the Budget session. Under the new scheme, women will be given an additional cash assistance of Rs 1,000 every month.
