Dindori, Madhya Pradesh: Dindori Collector Vikas Mishra conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Model School of Dhanwasagar near the district headquarters on Saturday, on the occasion of Constitution Day. During the inspection, a few questions were asked by the Collector to a class 9 student Rudra Pratap Jharia. During the conversation, Rudra told that he had a dream of meeting the collector. His father Akhilesh Jharia and his mother Rajkumari Jharia also dream of him becoming a collector one day.
Explaining the meaning of monarchy and democracy to the student, the collector told the student that he will make him a collector for one day. Living up to his promise, he called the student to the collectorate on Monday. Along with that, the name of the student is also being written on the nameplate outside the collector’s room and the student will also sit in the collector’s chair.
It was told by the Collector that the student would be taken to other offices of the Collectorate as well. During this, he instructed the District Education Officer present in the office to name all the rooms of the school after great men. The collector went to the girls’ hostel and discussed important things with the girl students. The collector said that he would come to see the Kabaddi competition between the girl students. He said that Constitution Day means there should be equality among all. Instructions were also given to pay regular salaries to the cooks in the girls’ hostel.
In other news in MP, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi continues his Bharat Jodo Yatra in the state. Today is the fourth day of the movement in the state. Meanwhile, opposition BJP leaders claimed that “Pakistan Zindabaad” slogans were raised during his rally in the state.
