Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: The speculation going on for the last several days regarding the appointment of the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh came to an end on Wednesday. The Central Government has given a six-month extension to Iqbal Singh Bains, a 1984 batch officer. His tenure was ending today. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recommended on November 9 to give him an extension, on which this decision has been taken. Now the General Administration Department will issue orders related to increments from December 1 till the evening.
High-ranking officials of the ministry said that assembly elections are to be held in the state next year. In such a situation, the Chief Minister wanted Iqbal Singh Bains to remain the Chief Secretary so that the action plan prepared could be implemented quickly. Programs for the distribution of benefits to the eligible beneficiaries of various schemes are to be held at the divisional level next month.
The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention is to be held in Indore on January 8, 9, and 10. More than three thousand delegates from all over the world will participate in it along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Secretary is the chairman of various committees constituted for the event and meetings are being held continuously.
On the other hand, Global Investors Summit is going to be held in Indore on the 11th and 12th of January. This is an ambitious program of the Shivraj government before the elections. Through this, efforts will be made to convey the message that investors have faith in the leadership of the Chief Minister and they want to invest in the state. The budget will be presented in February-March 2023, which will be completely electoral.
