UJJAIN: At least 25 were injured when a Gujarat-bound bus overturned into a culvert in the Ujjain district, an official said. As per inputs, the injured passengers are said to have visited the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain and were on the way home.
The accident took place on Saturday night as the bus from Indore fell off a culvert in Bhukti Mata pass after picking up passengers from its stop in Ujjain. The bus is said to have fallen 8 feet down before turning a turtle, which is an accident-prone area being a blind spot. The driver who was also injured has been hospitalized and is being charged for rash driving. A case has been registered against him said an official.
Out of the 25, 2 passengers are said to be critical. All of them were immediately rushed to the district hospital said the Ujjain collector.
