Bhopal: Monsoon break in Madhya Pradesh is expected to end on September 2 as moderate to heavy rains may start in the eastern part of the state including Jabalpur-Shahdol division. The weather will also change in the western part of the state i.e., Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Chambal and Narmadapuram divisions, but the forecast of heavy rains is less.
Monsoon has been at pause in the state since August 25 and senior meteorologists Dr. Vedprakash Singh told earlier that monsoon is expected to last till September 5th, but the monsoon activity shall begin in eastern part from September 2 itself.
Meanwhile, the effect of heat has been witnessed in many cities of the state. The sunshine was bright in Bhopal while Gwalir witnessed a day temperature of 36 degrees. The temperature in Sidhi and Tikamgarh was 36.4 degrees and 35 degrees respectively. The temperature in Betul, Bhopal, Dhar, Gua, Narmadapuram, Indore, Khandwa, Khargone, Raisen, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Khajuraho, Mandla, Narsinghour, Naogaon, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Seoni, Umaria, and Malanjkhand remained more than 30 degrees.
