Bhopal: The spell of rain continues in Madhya Pradesh, the state is receiving rain due to the activity of three systems. There is an alert of heavy rain in Neemuch, Mandsaur on Friday. There will be thunderstorms in Bhopal, Indore. The low pressure area is becoming active again from August 19. The effect of the new system will be more in the eastern part of the state – Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol and Sagar divisions. There may be rain in the western part as well.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rain in 13 districts of the state today. On Friday, very heavy rain is expected in Guna, West Shivpuri, North Sagar, North Vidisha, West Ashok Nagar, Narsinghpur, Pandhurna, Raisen, Shahdol, Umaria, Sidhi, East Katni.
Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in 25 districts today. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Sheopur, Sidhi, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Tikamgarh, Niwari and Pandhurna, Vidisha, Raisen, Rajgarh, Agar and Mandsaur.
According to the Meteorological Department, from the monsoon season that started on June 1 to August 15, the state has received 15 percent more rain than the average. Eastern Madhya Pradesh has received 13% more rain while Western Madhya Pradesh has received 16% more rain than the average.
