Bhopal: A new policy has been made in the cabinet meeting to attract investment in the IT sector. The State Cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, approved “Madhya Pradesh Cloud Policy-2024” in order to provide cloud services to the departments. The cloud services will be made available to the departments through Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC).
Budget will be provided to the Department of Science and Technology for payment of cloud services. The expenses incurred by the departments in purchasing the services directly, setting up the data center and availing the cloud services will be saved as they would be provided by the MPSEDC. Such an arrangement will lead to savings in overall expenditure due to economy of scale and better management of cloud services.
The state government will help in single window clearance, capital expenditure, rent, marketing, and quality. The land will be given at cheap rates. There will be discounts in all matters including registration and property tax. Madhya Pradesh’s IT policy has been made after studying all the IT policies of the country.
