Indore. In the first Mayor-in-Council (MIC) meeting of Indore Municipal Corporation this year, many important proposals were passed for the development of the city. In the meeting, approval was given to build four STPs under the Namami Gange project. About Rs 500 crore will be spent on the construction of these plants. Its purpose is to clean the rivers of the city.
Actually, the first MIC meeting of the Municipal Corporation was organized in Indore this year. The corporation officials including the Mayor and MIC members were present in this meeting. More than 7 proposals were passed in the MIC. The most important of which is about the new STP plant being built in the city under the Namami Gange project.
The Municipal Corporation will also sign a 15-year agreement for these plants. Before Simhastha, efforts are being made to bring clean water from these STP plants to the city’s rivers. Apart from this, the proposal to renovate Baba Saheb Ambedkar Park and lay new sewerage lines in many areas was also discussed.
