Bhopal: The rain continues in Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in the next 48 hours. Rain alert has been issued in 17 districts including Rewa-Jabalpur.
An area of very low pressure has formed in the west-central Bay of Bengal. This weather system is likely to turn into a depression on Sunday. The monsoon trough is also passing through Madhya Pradesh. Due to the advancement of the depression, a series of good rains is expected in the state from Monday.
According to the Meteorological Department, today on Sunday, there is a possibility of rain with lightning in western Shivpuri, Dindori, Anuppur, Mandsaur and Sheopur. There is a possibility of moderate rain with lightning in Morena, eastern Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Guna, Niwari Panna and Orchha. Rain alert has been issued in Ujjain, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Shahdol, Mandla, Balaghat, Harda, Dewas, Neemuch, Agar Malwa, Ratlam, Sehore.
Apart from this, there is a possibility of light thunderstorm with lightning in Gwalior, Bhind, Tikamgarh, Datia, Chhatarpur, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Satna, Sagar, Maihar, Rewa, Umaria, Damoh and Katni. On the other hand, light rain may occur in Bhopal, Indore, Vidisha, Raisen, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Bandhavgarh, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Khargone, Khandwa, Barwani, Burhanpur, Betul, Dhar, Jhabua and Alirajpur.
