MADHYA PRADESH: A man died of heart attack in MPs Katni while performing a Puja at a temple. The incident that took place on Thursday came to the fore after the CCTV surfaced online.
In the CCTV footage, Rajesh Mehani, a Sai devotee, is seen doing a ‘parikrama’ of an idol in the temple, he later sits to pray but couldn’t get up, which the officials suspect was due to a ‘silent’ heart attack he suffered.
Seeing the man not responding for 15 minutes other devotees called the priest and rushed him to the hospital. Doctors at the private hospital declared him dead on arrival.
Mehani runs a medical store and used to visit the temple every Thursday sources said.
