Mahi Dharu and Tanishka Lashkari to Showcase Mettle in Khelo India Women’s Fencing League & Ranking tournament

The first Khelo India Women’s Fencing League & Ranking tournament got underway at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium on Monday.

Indore’s Mahi Dharu and Tanishka Lashkari both belong to lower class society and have reached the spot with great efforts. Mahi Dharu is the daughter of a sweeper while Tanishka Lashkari is the daughter of an auto driver. Both the daughters of Indore are dedicated at achieving a medal at the Olympics.

The tournament is organised by the Fencing Association of India under the aegis of Sports Authority of India & Khelo India. The tournament is hosted by Delhi State Fencing Association from July 25th to July 29th.

On th sidelines, the Shantadevi Kamal Bhandari Smriti Indore District Senior Badminton Competition organized by Indore District Badminton Organization also begam from Thursday onwards at Nehru Stadium Badminton Hall.
