Madhya Pradesh: Following a dramatic improvement in the state’s COVID-19 situation, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to reopen all classes to full capacity. The state administration had previously permitted the reopening of schools with a 50% capacity for grades 1 to 5 and a 100% capacity for grades 8, 10, and 12. The School Education Department stated in the revised directive that all schools can continue offline teaching learning activities with 100% capacity for classes 1 to 12. Residential schools and hostels can also reopen with full capacity, according to the order.
The permission of parents will be required to attend schools and stay in hostels, according to the School Education Department. Schools will determine whether to continue with online and digital education, according to the decision, which also stated that study materials will continue to be aired on Doordarshan and via WhatsApp groups.
According to the order, all instructors and staff members at schools and hostels must receive both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination. It stated that schools must follow the state and central government’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent the spread of Covid infection. The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) recently announced the dates for the Class 10, Class 12 board exams. Class 10 examinations will start on February 18 and Class 12 exams will start on February 17, 2022, according to the MP Board.
