Bhopal: The Lokayukta is on the hunt for black money in the bank accounts of a sacked contract assistant engineer, Hema Meena, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. With a keen eye on her transactions and lockers, the team is determined to uncover any hidden assets.
The investigation has already revealed five bank accounts belonging to Hema Meena, and the team is now turning their attention to Police Housing Corporation engineer Janardan Singh, who is suspected of amassing disproportionate assets in two cases.
When the Lokayukta investigated her premises, they got to know that Hema Meena has assets worth 332% more than her salary. She used to work in a Government job where she only made 30 thousand rupees every month. And upon investigation, the police have identified assets of approximately 7 crore rupees.
Along with that, they also found a Television which costs around 30 lakh rupees with 20 cars in her garage. These cars even included some luxury one’s and her bank accounts had been sealed. Meena also had a luxurious farmhouse which contained around 70 to 80 cows.
