Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan introduced the ‘Krishak Mitra Yojana’ in a significant initiative aimed at benefiting farmers in the state. The launch of this program took place at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center in the capital. During the event, Chief Minister Chouhan initiated the application process for beneficiaries under this scheme.
Notably, the first beneficiary of the Krishak Mitra Yojana was Namita Nirave, a woman farmer from Nirpatia village in Harda, and Chief Minister Shivraj personally completed her online application. Additionally, CM Chouhan also facilitated the online form submission for another farmer from Bherunda in Sehore. In his address, Chief Minister Shivraj highlighted the pivotal role of farmers as not only providers of food but also as the life force of the state. He acknowledged the relentless dedication and hard work of farmers, which have propelled Madhya Pradesh to numerous agricultural milestones. The government has taken comprehensive measures to support farmers, including providing agricultural loans at zero per cent interest, ensuring food security for the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan also mentioned the remarkable progress in the state’s electricity generation, increasing it from 2900 MW to an impressive 29000 MW.
